After snatching the first draw of the Pro Kabaddi League 2016 against leaders Patna Pirates on Thursday, Puneri Paltan will look to getting their first home win of the season on Friday as they take on Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.
Puneri Paltan are currently seventh in the table with just one win from four games, but they will be hoping the Pune leg will have some kind of a positive for them.
Their opponents, Jaipur Pink Panthers, meanwhile, are currently fifth in the table with two wins from five games, and the inaugural champions will also be looking to prove a point as the two teams get set to meet for the first time this season.
The Pune side, led by some strong performances from star raider Ajay Thakur and captain Manjeet Chhillar, gave a strong contest to the Patna Pirates side to snatch out three points from the match. And that confidence will be vital in the match against the Abhishek Bachchan co-owned Pink Panthers side.
The Jaipur side, started their campaign this time on a high note, as they got past defending Pro Kabaddi champions U Mumba in their opening fixture with a nine-point margin win. But somehow, they failed to maintain the consistency.
