Bengaluru Bulls will not be too happy after starting their home leg of the Pro Kabaddi League 2016 season on a sour note. Last year's finalists were defeated by Patna Pirates on Wednesday by nine points in the season's first game at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium in the Garden City.
The Bangalore side take on Bengal Warriors on Thursday, in their third overall match of the Pro Kabaddi Season 3.
It was the overall impressive performance of Patna Pirates that gave them the high-margin win over the Bengaluru Bulls on Wednesday. From Rohit Kumar to Suresh Kumar and Sandeep Narwal, it was a dominating display by the visitors. The onus is now on Bengaluru Bulls skipper Surjeet Narwal to make a turnaround in his and the team's performance.
Surjeet didn't give a memorable performance by any means against the Patna Pirates, and it was only Amit Rathi -- scoring nine raid points and a tackle point -- who was came to the party for the home side.
Bengaluru Bulls won their maiden game of the competition against Dabang Delhi in Vizag, and the hosts will be looking for the same amount of determination in this match against the Bengal Warriors, who also won their first game of Pro Kabaddi League 2016.
The Warriors, led by Nilesh Shinde, made an impact at the first time of asking, defeating Telugu Titans by eight points in Vizag two days back. Nitin Tomar and Girish Ernak produced an inspiring dislay on the day to take home the victory.
The Bengal Warriors will want to continue their momentum and not give in to the pressure of performing away from home when they face the Bengaluru Bulls.
