Puneri Paltan will take on Dabang Delhi in the first game of the Super Sunday of the Pro Kabaddi League 2015 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.

Both the Paltans and the Delhi boys will be playing for nothing but pride. Delhi had their chances to make it to the final four in the ongoing season of Pro Kabaddi League 2015, but frittered away too many opportunities in the middle phase.

On the other hand, the Paltans are languishing at the bottom of the points table, having lost 8 out of their 10 games. The only win that they have registered in the league was against the Bengal Warriors and that too by a slender margin of three points.

Dabang Delhi are coming into the game after a drubbing by the Bengaluru Bulls by 19 points (40-21).

The Bulls were stunned after two back-to-back defeats on their home turf, but bounced back in their match against the Delhi boys. Dabang Delhi could have given the Bulls a tough challenge, but were tamed instead. Bulls's star raider Ajay Thakur was the man of the match for his successful raids. Thakur helped the Bulls to achieve a lead of 15-6 at the break with six successful raids from seven attempts.

Meanwhile, the Paltans are yet to taste victory in their last five matches. The match against Telugu Titans was tied at 45-45. Puneri Paltan are coming into the match after facing defeat at the hands of the Bengal Warriors by a margin of just three points.

The fixture between the Paltan and the Warriors is a reverse fixture. Earlier, in the ongoing league of Pro Kabaddi, the Paltans did overcome the Warriors by a similar points margin. One would have believed the Warriors would avenge the loss in a similar fashion in their last game. Paltan looked good in that match right from the start and so did the Warriors. The match was tied at 12-12 at the break but Warriors' substitute Sunil Jaipal turned out to be an unlikley hero. Jaipal snatched away eight crucial points, including two bonus points in eight raids, to hand the Warriors an impressive victory.
