Bengaluru Bulls are finding it tough to make use of their home leg as they suffered their second consecutive loss at the Shree Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore on Thursday.
A favourable result against Jaipur Pink Panthers looked all the more tough yesterday (13 August); the Bulls found it too difficult to edge past the Pink Panthers, who won the game 27-25.
The home side will fancy their chances today (14 August) against Dabang Delhi, who are coming into the game after a 45-45 draw against Telugu Titans in their previous game.
Prior to that, the Delhi side were handed a heavy 30-point loss by Pink Panthers in Delhi.
Dabang Delhi have recorded only one win from their four games till now and are currently fifth in the table, just a position below the Bulls.
Bengaluru Bulls have got their work cut out. It looked like they would have an easy transition to the playoffs, more so owing to the home advantage, but things didn't pan out that way.
Although they still occupy the third position, they need atleast two wins from their next three games to make it to the top four.
Manjeet Chillar, along with Cheralathan and Joginder Narwal, remained the only key men yesterday for Bengaluru Bulls, apart from star raider Ajay Thakur.
The absence of Thakur for almost twenty minutes from the court didn't work in favour of the Bulls.
But his presence will be vital in the game against Dabang Delhi on Friday.
For Delhi, their highest margin win came against Patna Pirates earlier this month. The performance of star Kashiling Adake was superlative on the day as he notched 13 points.
Rohit Chaudhary has also been vital for the Delhi side this season, who have recorded just four wins and lost seven games in the competition this year.
The match between Bengaluru Bulls and Dabang Delhi gets under way at 9 pm IST (4:30pm BST).
