Golden State Warriors have been going great in the NBA regular seasonReuters

Golden State Warriors have been phenomenal during the regular NBA season, where they have been the best team in the league, as they have only lost 10 games in the league, the least amongst all teams in the NBA during the season. They have won 44 games as well.

This record has helped them reach to the number one position in the Western Conference standings table.

But, their opponents for tonight, Cleveland Cavaliers have also been performing well of late as they have won eight out of their last 10 games. They are currently placed in the fourth position of the Eastern Conference.

So, the match is hugely anticipated by NBA fans, for both the teams have been putting up some amazing basketball displays of late.

Cleveland Cavaliers would be looking for their fourth successive win when they take on Warriors tonight. The Cavs defeated Detroit Pistons in their last game with the score reading 102 – 93. Kevin Love and LeBron James had a huge game with Love hitting as many as eight three pointers, while James finished with 19 points, 11 assists and 7 rebounds.

The same is going to be expected from the Cavs later tonight, but the Warriors are going to make it difficult for James and Co, who have been performing consistently over the last few weeks.

Warriors will prove to be Cavaliers biggest test as of now.

Cavs All Star player Kyrie Irving said, "It's going to be a great test, two great teams going at it. A lot of great matchups within the game, this is what you look forward to as a competitor," as quoted by AP.

The Warriors won their last game against the Washington Wizards, 114 to 107. Stephen Curry was in red hot form as he scored an amazing 32 points. Curry has been one of the best players for Warriors as he has averaged 23.8 points per game during the season along with 4.6 rebounds and 7.9 assists as well.

But, it is not only Curry, who has been performing for the Warriors, but another sharp shooter Klay Thompson has been the key to Warriors' success this season. He averages 22.3 points per game.

Curry is happy with the progress that the Warriors have been making this season, as they are one of the favourites to clinch the NBA title, after such impressive performances during the regular season.

"It's pretty special to be where we are, we have a lot of work left to do, obviously," Curry said. "We want to capitalize on our potential this year."
