The pilot episode is expected to return with answers to burning questions about Deacon's health, Juliette and Avery's relationship, whether Scarlett and Gunnar will get back together or will Zoey come in their way.

From the trailer it comes out clearly that the premiere picks up a month after Deacon and Beverly's liver transplant. The episode will also focus majorly on Juliette and her problems, which will not be solved in the first episode.

Episode 1 will show Juliette attending her film premiere and sing a duet with Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler. And while Avery will be seen needing some help all the time with Juliette having gone away, it pretty much looks like Rayna's man Deacon may not survive in the premiere episode.

Meanwhile, the first episode will see plots revolving around Layla and Jeff's twisted romance, and Scarlett-Gunnar-Caleb love triangle, running parallel.

The official plot synopsis reads:

Luke welcomes Steven Tyler and gets a surprise visit and news from Rayna. Juliette's (Hayden Panettiere) career will take off with her Patsy-Cline biopic role as Rayna (Connie Britton) deals with the aftermath of Deacon and Beverly's liver-transplant surgery.
