A video has been released showing the moment a tractor-trailer hauling scrap metal oveturned on New Yorks Tappan Zee Bridge, bringing traffic to a standstill during the morning rush hour on 13 May.
The footage, posted to YouTube by user Hypotenuse, show the trailer of the big rig flip onto its left side, pulling the tractor over with it and sending scrap metal and debris across the bridge which spans the Hudson River between Rockland and Westchester counties.
The accident, caused by a broken suspension system on the truck, disrupted the northbound traffic for more than four hours. No injuries were reported.
