The much-awaited teaser of superstar Mohanlal's "Pulimurugan" was released on the YouTube channel of Mulakuppadam Films as a treat to his fans on the actor's 56th birthday, on Saturday, May 21. The one-minute-20-second teaser has introduced the character Murugan, played by Mohanlal in the action entertainer.
"Hold your breath and watch your step. Murugan is out for a short hunt. Watch Pulimurugan's official teaser.," the superstar posted on his Facebook page on Friday. The teaser features Mohanlal, Jagapati Babu and Lal.
In the Vysakh directorial, Mohanlal plays the role of a wild hunter and the actor is expected to enthral the audience with an action sequence (includes a tiger) in its 20-minute climax, for which he has not used a body double. Popular fight master Peter Hein has choreographed the stunts of the flick.
The screenplay of "Pulimurugan," which has been shot majorly in Kerala, Vietnam, South Africa and Thailand, has been penned by Udayakrishna. Background score and soundtrack have been composed by Gopi Sunder and Shaji has handled the cinematography of the action thriller. The movie also has Kamalini Mukherjee, Namitha, Jagapati Babu, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Bala, Vinu Mohan, Lal, Kishore and Makarand Deshpande in significant roles. The big-budget movie, produced by Tomichan Mulakuppadam, is expected to hit the screens in July and is said to be screened in more than 3,000 screens in India and abroad.
Meanwhile, the makers of Mohanlal's Telugu movie "Janatha Garage" have also released a special poster of the actor from the movie on his birthday. The team had released the first look poster of Junior NTR from the movie on the actor's 33rd birthday on May 20. The posters were well accepted by the audience and have gone viral on social media.
