No one ever said a team challenge was easy and the contestants of the U.S. version of "MasterChef" will prove just that. In Season 7 episode 9 of the cooking reality show, the cheftestants will be split into teams of two and will have to cook for a sweet 16 birthday celebration, but the mood among team members will be anything but celebratory.

So far, Andrea Galan has proved to be a tough competitor in this season's "MasterChef." The 21-year-old student from New York University has impressed the judges with her culinary skills, however, they won't welcome her attitude in Season 7 episode 9. Reason? She has a physical altercation with her teammate Nathan Barnhouse.

The promo for the upcoming episode includes a scene in which Nathan, the 20-year-old from Pennsylvania, asks her to be quiet and lands his hand on her back. However, she reacts rather aggressively and shouts: "Don't hit me dude." While the rest of the team members and the captain look on in shock, it is Chef Gordon Ramsay who asks them to stop fighting.

Although we don't think Andrea will be dismissed from the competition for fighting with her teammate, she could be part of the elimination test if her team fails to impress a group of teenagers who will celebrate their sweet 16 birthday in the MasterChef kitchen. And the menu for this birthday party won't be easy either.

According to the synopsis for Season 7 episode 9 (via TV Guide), the remaining 12 home cooks will have to create 30 dishes in an hour. Part of this challenge also includes a recreation of judge Christina Tosi's three-layered birthday cake, which, as fans will remember, was introduced when the TV show celebrated its 100th episode.

The promo for the upcoming episode does indicate that Andrea's team, the blue team, will struggle with hostility among team members, but they could emerge as the winners if the red team fails to satisfy hungry stomachs.

"MasterChef" Season 7 episode airs at 9 p.m. EST on Wednesday, July 27, on FOX. You can live-stream the episode via FOX NOW.
