Watch 'Marvel's Agents of SHIELD' season 3 episode 2 online: Simmons' disappearance mystery revealed

In the latest episode of ABC's "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 titled "Purpose in the Machine", it seems that Coulson's team is finally going to find the whereabouts of Agent Simmons.

The official synopsis of the episode mentions that the SHIELD crew will try to find out the mystery behind Simmons' disappearance after she got swallowed into an unknown realm.

In the upcoming episode, Fitz and the team are going to ask for help from an Asgardian to unlock the secrets of the ancient monolith that swallowed Simmons. Meanwhile, Agent May will be going through a dilemma regarding her personal as well as professional life.

Guest stars in "Purpose in the Machine" include Blair Underwood as Dr. Andrew Garner, Peter MacNicol as Professor Elliott Randolph, Daz Crawford as Kebo, Spencer Treat Clark as Alexander, Alex Hyde-White as Lord Thornally, Daniel J. Wolfe as Lord Manzini, Piers Stubbs as younger lord, James Hong as William May and Darius Cottrell as Moe.

Earlier, we had reported that Agent Fitz is determined to find his partner and his mission to find Simmons will be a solo one. The rest of the team has given up, including Phil Coulson, and is busy rounding up Inhumans.

In the previous episode titled "Laws of Nature", when Coulson and the team discover a new Inhuman, S.H.I.E.L.D. comes face to face with another organization searching for powered people. And still reeling from Simmons' dramatic disappearance, Fitz goes to extreme lengths to try to learn how to get her back."
