The synopsis of "The Lady in the Lake" reads: "After moving to Los Angeles to aid the West Coast branch of SSR, Peggy investigates a strange homicide in which the body glows and emanates cold."

According to the synopsis of "A View in the Dark" as mentioned by TV.com, Peggy's investigation of the strange homicide in which the body glows and emanates cold could lead to ramifications that threaten to wreck her career and impact those who are near and dear to her.

As reported by Carter Matt, the second season will see Agent Carter exploring the mysterious cases in Los Angeles under the orders of the SSR chief of East Coast Division, Jack Thompson (Chad Michael Murray).

Carter will be working under the supervision of SSR Chief Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj) and she will be investigating the case of a homicide where the victim's corpse is emitting a mysterious light.

Carter will have to gather all the intel available on the victim and find out what is causing the corpse to be stone-cold and radiate light. A number of familiar people will assist her on this mission.

She will be accompanied by Edwin Jarvis (James D'Arcy) in Hollywood and he will occasionally assist her just like the first season.

Jarvis serves as Howard Stark's (Dominic Cooper) butler and has been keeping an eye on Carter under the orders by Stark. However, it has still not been revealed as to why Stark wants Carter under surveillance.

Season 2 of "Agent Carter" will also have elements from upcoming movie "Doctor Strange" and another TV series "Agents of SHIELD".
