Heather Seidel and Derek Schwartz's marriage may not have worked out, but that doesn't mean that they don't have feelings for each other. In Season 4 episode 10 of Married at First Sight, Derek is heartbroken after his relationship with Heather ends.

The upcoming instalment of the FYI reality TV show focuses on Derek and Heather's life after their separation. While Heather feels strong after walking out of her marriage, her husband turns to his mother for support and guidance.

Like most other mothers, Derek's mom empathises with her son after hearing news of his divorce. The matriarch of the Schwartz family asks him to be strong during this difficult period. But she's also tough when she needs to be.

In the promo for Married at First Sight Season 4 episode 10, she notices the wedding ring on Derek's finger and asks why it's still being worn. "I mean, I'm still married," he says. But that's when he gets her honest opinion.

"I think you know where things stand," she says. And he agrees. It certainly feels as if Derek's heart-to-heart moment with his mother helps him move on from his disastrous marriage with Heather, who feels wronged in many ways.

The video clip for the upcoming instalment captures Heather's perspective on her relationship with Derek. She says that he set the tone for their marriage by smoking daily, a habit she asked him to give up. However, will she give him another chance if he does quit? Is there hope for this couple? This remains to be seen.
