Expect the Premier League clash on Super Saturday between Manchester City and Liverpool to be nothing but a battle of tactics. The powerhouses go head to head in Gameweek 13 of the English league at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester.

The Citizens are currently at the top, and will be looking to staying in the pole position even after the end of tonight's game. Although Arsenal are on the same number of points, Manuel Pellegrini's side have the edge owing to a better goal difference.

Star striker Sergio Aguero makes his much-awaited return to the Manchester City attacking line today, and that is set to boost Pellegrini's side. However, although City have strong players in every department, they have to be wary of a resurgent Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp.

The Borussia Dortmund ex-manager has almost made a turnaround with the Reds since coming on board, and the clash against Man City today will undoubtedly be one of the biggest of his Liverpool career so far.

Even Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart agrees the Reds are slowly and steadily making their way to the top, even though they are 10th in the table. "When I speak to my England colleagues [in Liverpool], they enjoyed their time under Brendan (Rodgers), and now they're enjoying it under the new manager [Klopp]," said Hart.

"They are a work in progress in terms of how he wants them to play, but they look keen, so it's all about how we play at our stadium [today]."

For Klopp, nothing but a win on the day would suffice. The German coach reminisces of his tenure as the Dortmund manager, when he faced Man City twice, and never lost. "I played [them] with Dortmund twice and never lost!" said Klopp ahead of the game.

"I think eight players from that team are still there at the moment. They have high quality, but the best news is, it's football. So we have a chance. I'm looking forward to the game. Two weeks is long enough after [the Premier League defeat against] Crystal Palace. Now we have the next chance."

Man City midfielder Raheem Sterling faces his former side for the first time today, while Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge could also be set to feature today against his former side if he is fit to play.

Possible starting XI

Manchester City: Hart; Mangala, Otamendi, Kolarov, Sagna; Fernando, Fernandinho; Toure, Sterling, De Bruyne, Aguero.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Skrtel, Lovren, Clyne, Moreno; Milner, Lucas, Can; Lallana, Coutinho, Benteke.
