Atletico de Kolkata will be taking on Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2015 match at the Vivekananda Yuvabharati Krirangan (Salt Lake Stadium) in Kolkata on Wednesday. 

The defending champions are currently placed at the fourth position in the league table and they are desperate to change their record at home and register a win over Chennaiyin FC.

The last time these two sides met, Atletico de Kolkata edged past Chennaiyin FC 3-2 in the opening game of the ISL 2015 on 3 December. 

One expect yet another nail-biting encounter when these two heavyweights clash at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata in front of 50,000-60,000 people. 

Atletico de Kolkata cannot afford to lose this game or else the clouds will appear over their chance of qualfying for the semi finals of the tournament. The hosts have lost two out of their three matches at home in the ISL 2015 and they would want to fix that record against the Super Machans.

"It's a very important match for both of us. In this competition you win a game and you'll get three points. We have to try and work hard and win the game," Atletico de Kolkata head coach Antonio Lopez Habas told the reporters at a press conference on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Chennaiyin FC are struggling at the bottom of the points table. They have been one of the most unpredictable sides in this season of the ISL. Looking at the points table, Marco Materazzi & co. will probably have to win a couple of games on a trot to keep their hopes alive to qualify for the final four.

"I'm convinced it's a really good team. We are not performing to our potential. And we have very few games left and it's going to be difficult but all other teams are also very close on the points table, so we still have a chance to qualify but we need to win 2-3 games for that," Materazzi told the reporters on Tuesday.
