In Sidney Chambers' (James Norton) life, happiness is often short-lived and mental conflicts are many. This theme becomes evident through the pastor's conversation with Amanda (Morven Christie ) in Season 2 episode 4 of "Grantchester."

Sidney and Amanda's love story seems to be filled with missed chances. Last week, Amanda finally managed to find the courage to tell her love that she still swoons over him. Unfortunately, he was busy having a passionate moment with Margaret (Seline Hizli), who seems lovely and simple. Sidney finally gave in to his feelings and embarked on a normal relationship with the secretary. But, will Amanda make him question his choice in episode 4?

According to the synopsis (via TV Guide), the Londoner confronts Sidney in the upcoming episode. Although it isn't clear what she tells him, a picture on Masterpiece PBS' Facebook page provides a hint.

In the promo picture for episode 4, Sidney says, "It is really all it's cracked up to be?" Amanda, meanwhile, looks resigned, perhaps to an uncertain future. What does Amanda say? Will Sidney end his relationship with Margaret in light of his ex-love's confession? Or will Amanda and Sidney's relationship be ambiguous for the next few seasons? This remains to be seen.

"Grantchester" Season 2 episode 4 airs 9 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 17, on PBS Masterpiece. You can live-stream the episode via PBS Masterpiece's website
