Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell) may still harbour feelings for her neighbour, Dr. Sam Redford (James Denton), but they might not embark on their romance anytime soon. In Season 2 episode 2 of "Good Witch," Cassie's past haunts her.

Since the Hallmark Channel TV series premiered, the chemistry between Cassie and Sam has almost been palpable. But they have never been able to act like a normal couple. In last week's season 2 premiere episode, Sam's ex-wife Linda caused enough trouble so as to postpone their date. Will they finally have a romantic dinner in episode 2 titled "Driven"?
The promo indicates that Cassie finds someone else interesting in the upcoming episode. When she accidentally bumps into the newest resident of Middleton, John Dover, Grace's mother, realises that she actually knows him. There is an immediate attraction between the two and it appears that other residents of Middleton notice it too.
When Abigail (Sarah Power) asks Cassie who the mystery man is, the good witch blushes and adds that her friend from college has moved to their town.
In the video clip, Cassie and John go on a stroll and steal romantic glances at each other. However, Sam's reaction to this remains to be seen. He is still besotted with Cassie and even makes a plan to meet her for a dinner later. Will Cassie's other impromptu date affect her relationship with Sam? Perhaps this will be revealed in episode 2.
