What a year it has been for the cast and crew of Fuller House. Not only did the creators successfully spin off the original series, Full House, they also released the second season, in the same year. Premiering on Netflix, the show has become a popular TV series not only among old time fans, but also new age online streamers.

In a recent interview with the leading cast of Fuller House, Candace Cameron Bure (donned the role of DJ), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie) and Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibler), the trio looked back at how life has completed a full circle as the show revived on Netflix. The interview, airing on ABC News special, The Year: 2016, will see the cast talk in length about the show, their families and their roles as mothers onscreen.

ABC News has already given a sneak-peek into the interview. The trio sits down to share that their families love watching them on the Netflix revival and there have been days when their families would binge watch the entire season again and again.

"They come to all the tapings and it's on Netflix, which they watch all the time. I hear the theme song playing downstairs, and I'm like, 'Oh, they're watching "Fuller House."' I mean, it's crazy," Sweetin said. "They think it's pretty funny that their friends are all excited when I come pick them up from school." Adding to which, Bure shares, "I know for my kids, they definitely prefer 'Fuller House' over 'Full House,' because they just make fun of my hairstyles and my clothes."

In the interview, Sweetin and Barber revealed that their daughters appear in the latest season of the Fuller House. "My daughter Zoie has been pestering me, 'So, mom, when am I going to be on an episode?' And I was like, 'Okay, when it's appropriate.'" Sweetin said. The actress shares that her daughter was 'so excited.'

Sharing her experience of bringing her daughter to work, Barber shared, "It was very much a role reversal for me to be the mom watching my kid on stage and having to fill out a work permit, which I had never done before. I suddenly was super critical, like, thinking to myself, 'Oh my god, stop yawning, look alive.' Like who is this? I'm not a stage mom."

The interview spills out more beans on their fan moment when New Kids on the Block visit the sets, fan reactions and lots more. Watch the complete interview on ABC News on December 20, at 9 pm ET. You can stream online here
