Mercedes have dominated the 2015 Formula One season like no other as they clinched the constructors championship as well.

Mercedes' drivers -- Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton -- have been in stupendous form with the latter even having a chance of winning the drivers' title in the United States Grand Prix on Sunday. The practice session for the US Grand Prix takes shape at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on Friday and Saturday.

Hamilton has been closely challenged by Rosberg and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, who have both won three races this season. However, they are aware of Sunday's race as it could prove to end their title challenge for the season if the Brit has a better day and scores nine and two points more than Vettel and Rosberg respectively.

Hamilton, undoubtedly, has been the standout driver in the season and it will be no surprise if he clinches the title on Sunday in the US Grand Prix. Hamilton's teammate Rosberg, who has been the second best for the majority of the season, believes the Brit's consistency has been one of the main reasons for him standing atop the drivers' standings table.

"I think it comes down to three things. Number one is the qualifying - this has changed around this season and is definitely helping him. Number two is that he had a more consistent year," Formula One official website quoted Rosberg as saying.

"And number three is that I have, for whatever reason, been unluckier as well. So these are the three things that in my opinion came together this year and gave him that advantage."

Though it might be too huge a task for Rosberg to win the title from here on, he has to majorly focus on second place, which could be a close fight between the two Germans (Rosberg and Vettel). Mercedes will be more than eager to have one-two finish in the drivers' championship as well.

However, the US Grand Prix will be important for other teams in the competition such as Force India with their drivers Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg putting in some great races during the season.

Force India have accumulated 92 points in the season and have even outperformed teams such as Lotus and Toro Rosso.

However, the focus will primarily lie on Lewis Hamilton, who can defend his drivers' title in Austin.
