Fiorentina and Sevilla take on each other in the second leg semi-final of the Europa League at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence.

The Viola have a tough task ahead of them, as they have already been beaten 3-0 in the first leg at Sevilla.

Fiorentina played pretty well in the first leg, creating 11 chances, but their finishing cost them and resulted in a heavy defeat in the first leg.

Although the Serie A side's chances on moving to the final of the Europa League are pretty less, they will be hoping to bow out of the competition with some dignity.

However, Viola manager Vincenzo Montella, despite admitting that his side's chances of overcoming the first leg deficit on Thursday are pretty low, insisted that they will still be giving their best in the second leg.

"I cannot remember coming back from 3-0 down in a cup tie," Montella told UEFA's official website. "In situations like this, you need to have conviction and we have that. We have to score and not concede. You also require a bit of luck, but most important [is that] we don't concede."

"Sevilla showed they're a great side but we showed we're not inferior. A goal can come at any time and could change the balance of the game. I don't believe in giving percentages – let's say we've got very small chance, but we've still got to try. Maybe it's ten or 15% chance, but we've got to give all we've got," he said.

The 40-year-old Italian said that his side are driven by the motivation to win the Europa League and qualify for next season's Champions League.

"We are incredibly motivated to get to the final and overturn this deficit. Winning this tournament means we could qualify for the Champions League," he said. "If you want to make history, you need to have belief. We all need to believe because it is possible. Considering our quality, I really think it's possible."

Meanwhile, Sevilla will be hoping to repeat their performance in the first leg, when they face Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Thursday.

A brace from Aleix Vidal and a late strike from Kevin Gameiro helped the Sevillistas record a comfortable victory over Fiorentina in the first leg.

The defending Europa League champions are expected to progress easily for the final of the competition, but Sevilla boss Unai Emery has said they will not be taking Fiorentina for granted on Thursday despite their convincing victory over the Viola in the first leg.

"We're very aware that we are close to the final and we have prepared for this match disregarding the first-leg result," Emery told UEFA's official website. "We know Fiorentina are a good team. We may have beaten them in the first leg, but we cannot take it for granted that we'll beat them again."

The 43-year-old Spaniard insisted that his side will have to be watchful when they face Fiorentina in the second leg on Thursday.

"We have to keep our concentration from the very first to the very last second. I want my team to be playing in the 80th minute like we were in the first minute. We've got to be on our toes at all times."
