The Lyons in "Empire" have a lot of family secrets and some of them will get spilled in the latest installment of FOX's hit TV series. In Season 2 episode 14, titled "Time Shall Unfold," Lucious (Terrence Howard) reminds Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) that she's responsible for a death.

Cookie is admittedly a fan-favourite character on the TV show. She is relentless in her effort to bring together a dysfunctional family. Cookie and Lucious even have an inkling of romance in their lives. However, all of that gets affected when she brings up the death of Freda Gatz's (Bre-Z) father.

Cookie reminds Lucious that he killed Frank but the latter says he doesn't remember anything. Later on, Lucious angrily whispers into Cookie's ear, saying "You were bone deep in it with me."

The fact that the Lyons killed Freda's father could potentially disrupt Jamal's (Jussie Smollett) relationship with his family. Cookie fears that Freda could manipulate Jamal while Cookie herself is industrious in her attempt to bring them together.

Meanwhile, Anika informs the Lyons that she is pregnant with Hakeem's (Bryshere Y. Gray) son. This spells another disaster for Cookie, who attacks Anika by saying, "Are you that thirsty?" Fans of the show will remember that Hakeem is engaged to Laura. However, will he abandon his girlfriend?

Hakeem will be forced to step up and be as scheming as his father. In other words, he has to do what's best for his image at Empire Records because his father will try to regain his position as CEO. In the promo for episode 14, Lucious asks Hakeem at a share-holders meeting, "A CEO should know these things." The rift between Lucious and his sons seems to get wider. What will Cookie do? This remains to be seen.

"Empire" Season 2 episode 14 airs Wednesday, April 20, at 9 p.m. EST, on FOX. You can live-stream the episode via FOX Now.
