With a new season, comes a new set of surprises. In Season 7 premiere of FX's hit animated series, "Archer," the spies go to Hollywood and are up to their usual shenanigans.

In episode 1 titled "The Figgis Agency," Archer (voiced by H. Jon Benjamin) and his host of colourful colleagues act as private investigators in Los Angeles. This move to the West Coast presents several opportunities for Archer.

In the promo for the premiere episode, it looked like Archer was playing a waiter, but the big shocker is revealed in the end: he floats in a pool of blood at actress Veronica Deen's house.

Two police officers talk about the homicide and refer to Archer as the waiter who was shot. They mull about questioning the actress, even as Archer looks lifeless. Their apparent lack of interest in Archer indicates that he is dead and that there's no hope.

However,  Archer is the show's titular character, and as fans will remember, who has evaded death multiple times. Could he really be dead this time? How will Season 7 proceed?

According to Indie Wire's review of "Archer," Season 7 episodes include an uncomfortable yet funny plot as always.

"There's a little bit of unease hovering over the first episode as you wait to find out if your biggest question will be answered right away, but then things settle back into a familiar pace in an unfamiliar setting once it's clear answers aren't right around the corner," the outlet pointed out.

"Archer" Season 7 episode 1 airs 10 p.m. EST Thursday, March 31, on FX-E. You can live-stream the episode here.
