The "Shivaay" trailer has everyone praising its action sequences. They are stylish, well-choreographed and at par with the standards set by Hollywood.

Interestingly, a little attention and a few re-watches later, you should be able to notice the resemblance it bears with films that have been made out West.

According to the Hindustan Times, the "Shivaay" trailer has been ripped off of as many as six Hollywood films.

Take a look at the GIFs here.

"GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra," "Skyfall," "Kung Fu Panda," and "XXX: The Return of Xander Cage" among others are some of the films that Ajay needs to thank. The team is looking at releasing two more trailers in the coming days, which means one can expect some more Déjà vu.

We have a lot of content that is not shown in the trailer, despite it being very long. The location and the story allowed us the scope to make over 30 posters and all of them were amazing," Ajay told the Asian Age.

Having said all that, there's no denying that the "Shivaay" trailer is one of the most visually spectacular and intense promos we have seen all year. It keeps you hooked until the end with just the right amount of thrill. And why not? Ajay gave up two years to make this ambitious project, which alone is achievement unlocked.

"Shivaay" is an emotional story and the highlight is its screenplay. "The writer and I had a story that was inspired by a real incident. We worked on it together, but since it was my idea, only I could've directed it," Ajay told the leading daily when asked about what made him take up the film.

"Shivaay" opens in theatres on Oct. 28, same day as Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," which stars Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Fawad Khan in key roles.

In his earlier statement, Ajay appeared unfazed about the box office clash. He had said how such situations are commonplace and one must learn to accept it. Now, however, he says clashes must be avoided.

"Clash doesn't matter. Though I wished solo release but anyway. I am more concerned in what I am doing," BollywoodLife quoted him as saying.

"Shivaay" stars Saiyyeshaa Saigal and Polish actress Erika Kaar in the lead.
