"The Voice" US Season 8 semi-finals result was shocking for the simple reason that India Carney should not be in bottom two, but was eliminated after losing to Koryn Hawthorne through Instant Save.

Many might think that Carney should have been sent home last week and not Kimberly Nichole, but her beautiful performance on Monday proved that she had a reason to be in the competition. Her rendition of Sara Bareilles' "Gravity" was good and her second song "Earth Song" by Michael Jackson was one of the best performances on Monday, but that didn't make her safe her on Tuesday.

The elimination episode of "The Voice" US Season 8 saw performances from Snoop Dogg and Pharrell Williams, Walk The Moon, and the top 5 finalists. Host Carson Daly announced the first finalist, Sawyer Fredericks from Team Pharrell, before calling out Meghan Linsey from Team Blake, and Joshua Davis from Team Adam, thus leaving Koryn Hawthorne from Team Pharrell and India Carney from Team Christina in the bottom two.

Carney took on Kelly Clarkson's "Dark Side," while Koryn performed Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy" for Instant Twitter Save. Carson Daly declared Koryn as the winner of the two. Coach Christina Aguilera was left with no contestant in her team following Carney's exit.

List of "The Voice" US Season 8 Finalists:

"The Voice" US Season 8 will go to a two-episode final next week, with live performances from the remaining finalists, before declaration of the winner of this season.
