Vivo is focusing on making your photos better. The Chinese smartphone maker launched three new smartphones in its home country on Wednesday, all of which have strong photography skills.

Vivo X9, X9 Plus and Xplay6 are the three new phones by Vivo and they cover different price ranges to match the customers' needs. The standout feature in all three phones is the dual camera set-up. The X9 and X9 Plus sport dual cameras on the front, while the Xplay6 is a high-end device with rear-facing dual cameras.

Vivo launched the phones only in China and their international availability, especially in India, remains unknown at the moment. But the company recently launched its V5 smartphone with 20MP front camera to take on rivals such as Oppo, LeEco, Xiaomi and others. So, it might be a while before we see the company's X series hit Indian shores.

In China, the X9 smartphone is priced at ¥2,798 (approximately Rs 28,000) for the 64GB model and the 128GB model costs ¥2,998 (approximately Rs 30,000). Vivo Xplay6 is the most expensive model of the lot, costing ¥4,498 (approximately Rs 44,500), while the X9 Plus pricing wasn't announced by the company.

In terms of specifications, Vivo X9 sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset paired with 4GB RAM. The handset supports dual SIM cards, fingerprint scanner integrated within the home button, 4G LTE, and comes with a 3,050mAh battery with fast charging support.

Vivo X9 Plus has a bigger 5.88-inch Full HD IPS display, a 4,000mAh battery and an upgraded octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 (MSM8976 Pro) processor clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 6GB of RAM. The handset comes in a 128GB storage option and has all the features as the X9.

Both X9 and X9 Plus have same camera configuration with a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP secondary camera on the front, and a 16MP rear-facing shooter with PDAF. Both the phones also run the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based FuntouchOS 3.0 out-of-the-box.

Finally, the high-end Xplay6 comes with a dual curved Super AMOLED display measuring 5.46 inches with 2K resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage and Android M-based Funtouch 3.0 OS.

The handset sports a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with PDAF, f/1.7 aperture, dual tone LED flash and a 5MP secondary shooter to form a dual camera setup. On the front, there is a 16MP snapper with f/2.0 aperture.

Under the hood, the Xplay6 sports a 4,080mAh battery, and supports 4G VoLTE, dual SIM and fingerprint scanning.
