Virat Kohli meets his childhood lookalike, shows Rohit Sharma; kid beams with joy [Watch]

If you are a fan of Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, you must have made a booklet of his childhood photos and memories, and your Instagram feed would be filled with Virat's reels that cover his illustrious career, his childhood pictures with his mother, his love for his actor-wife Anushka Sharma, and many other heartfelt moments.

As Virat is busy with the India vs. New Zealand ODIs, the cricketer couldn't believe his eyes when he met his childhood lookalike, a little fan who resembles him from his younger days. His interaction with the kid went viral, and Virat is now friends with the little boy.

A few days back, Virat Kohli met a kid ahead of the first ODI against New Zealand; the striking resemblance quickly caught everyone's attention, including Virat Kohli's, which led to a wholesome bond. Since then the internet can't stop raving about the striking similarities they have. 

It so happened that the video of the young fan meeting several members of the Indian team, including Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and Arshdeep Singh, went viral. However, it was Virat Kohli's reaction that stole the spotlight. Amused by the resemblance, Virat Kohli affectionately called the boy 'Chhota Chiku.'

An excited Virat told Rohit Sharma, 'Woh dekh mera duplicate baitha hai.."( See, he is my duplicate).

And now in a new video interview, the young fan shared his memorable interaction with Virat Kohli, he said, "I really like Virat Kohli's style and aura. When I took his name, he waved at me and said he would come back shortly. Then he told Rohit Sharma, 'Woh dekh mera duplicate baitha hai' (Look, my duplicate is sitting there). He called me Chhota Chiku."

The fan also revealed that he received autographs and photos with several players.

Meet little Kohli Garvit Uttam?

The lookalike of Virat Kohli is Garvit Uttam, an 8-year-old from Sector-11, Panchkula, Haryana, over 1,200 km away from Vadodara. He lives with his family, and his father, Surender Singh, works in a private company in Himachal Pradesh. Garvit is passionate about both acting and cricket.

When Virat Kohli arrived at the stadium, Garvit shouted at him. Kohli noticed him, smiled, and promised to meet him shortly. Within minutes, Kohli signed an autograph on Garvit's bat and posed for a photo.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma featured in their first ODI against New Zealand at the Kotambi International Stadium in Vadodara on Sunday, where India won the game.

Talking about the match, Virat Kohli's knock helped India chase down the target of 301 with one over to spare.

Virat Kohli, during the post-match presentation, said, "I just send the trophies back home to my mum in Gurgaon — she loves keeping them. (About becoming the second-highest run-scorer in international cricket) If I look back at my whole journey, then it is nothing short of a dream come true for me. I have always known my abilities, but I also knew I had to work extremely hard to get where I am today."

"God has blessed me with far more than I could ever ask for. I look back at my journey with a lot of grace and gratitude, and I feel really proud of it. (Was he thinking about his 54th hundred?)
