Ilayathalapathy Vijay's "Puli" is the latest South Indian movie, which will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi. It is a fantasy-adventure written and directed by Chimbu Deven.

This is the second big South Indian movie in 2015 after "Baahubali' that has drawn the attention of the entire country. The latest movie of Vijay has been made with a whopping budget, just like SS Rajamouli's directorial movie.

"Baahubali" was a landmark movie in India and brought laurels to South Indian film industry. The first instalment, made with the budget of Rs 120 crore, has grossed over Rs 550 crore worldwide at the box office. Now, there are similar expectations from "Puli".

Language was not been a barrier for "Baahubali" as people throughout India watched and enjoyed SS Rajamouli's movie. It was a war-epic movie in which big names from Telugu such as Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamanna Bhatia, along with Sathyaraj and Ramya Krishnan, played key roles.

In "Puli", apart from Vijay, Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep, yesteryear popular actress Sridevi Kapoor, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani play important roles.

The quality, marketing and the budget have made people draw comparisons between the two movies. However, the makers of "Puli" are apparently not interested in it, as both the films are different in genre and content.

If it was brand SS Rajamouli that was the crowd-pulling factor before the release, it is Vijay in case of "Puli", who is the USP of the Tamil flick. But the point that one should note is that "Baahubali" was simultaneously shot in Tamil and Telugu. But "Puli" has been shot only inTamil and is being dubbed in Telugu.
