The much-awaited Vijay-AR Murugadoss film is all set to roll from February first week.

According to Behindwoods, the untitled film will commence from 3 February. The film was announced in November 2013, but the shooting did not kick-off as Vijay and Murugadoss were busy with their respective projects. While Vijay was working in "Jilla", Murugadoss was helming the Hindi remake of Tamil hit "Thuppakki."

"Jilla" released for Pongal 2014 and it is successfully running in theatres. The shooting for Murugadoss's "Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty" has been reportedly completed and the film is expected to hit screens in June 2014.

Now, the actor-director duo is set to focus on their new project. Vijay is confirmed to be the male lead, but it is not clear as to who will be cast opposite the actor. Earlier, Samantha was reported to play the female lead, but recent rumours suggest Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra's involvement in the film. An official confirmation on the lead heroine is yet to be made.

Comedian Sathish of "Ethir Neechal" fame is reportedly playing a pivotal role in the film. Details about the other cast members are not yet known. The film's team is yet to decide on the title as well. Buzz is that the Vijay starrer has been titled "Vaazh" ("Sword"), but again there is no official word on this regard.

Music composer Anirudh has been confirmed to work on the film's soundtracks, whereas cameraman George Williams of "Raja Rani" fame will handle the cinematography. The big budget action entertainer will be produced by Ayngaran International.

Murugadoss will complete the shooting in three schedules and will be taking a two-week gap in May to complete the post production work for "Holiday", which has Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles, reported Sify. The Vijay starrer, which is reportedly set in the backdrop of Kolkata, is expected to be finished in six months and gear up for August release.
