Vijay, who is currently busy with AR Murugadoss directorial, will reportedly commence his new film from September this year.

Ilaya Thalapathy (Vijay is fondly referred by this name) is busy shooting for Murugadoss direction, which is touted to be an action entertainer. The much-awaited film is a quick project and is expected to be wrapped up in six months.

It was already reported that Vijay will work with Chimbu Devan of "Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi" and "Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam" fame after completing Murugadoss's film.

Looks like the "Jilla" actor has allotted his call sheet to work in the film from September, according to a report in Indiaglitz.

The untitled flick, deemed as an action-fantasy entertainer, will be produced by Vijay's PR manager PT Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameen Movies. It appears that Vijay was completely bowled over by the script narration given by the director and he immediately gave his nod to work in the project. It will be the first time that the actor would be teaming up with Chimbu Devan, who is known for making fantasy comedy entertainers.

It is not yet known as to who would be paired opposite to Vijay in this flick. It is being said that the Chimbu Devan directorial will have two heroines and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has been approached to play one of the leads. If Priyanka signs for the film, it would be her second outing with Vijay after the 2002-release "Thamizhan," which marked the former Miss World's acting debut.

An official confirmation on the female lead as well as other casts and crew members are yet to be announced by the film's team.
