The second episode of season six of "The Vampire Diaries" will welcome back Enzo, who will enlist Caroline to help him bring back Bonnie and Damon.
Unlike Stefan, Enzo has not resigned to the fact that Damon and Bonnie died when the Other Side crumbled, and he finds that Caroline shares his sentiments, revealed executive producer Caroline Dries to E! News.
"He is up to something that is on point with what's going on with the Damon and Stefan story," Dries teased of Enzo, who will have a "different reaction to Damon's death" than Stefan.
"He's not going to give up on him. His point of view on Damon is in direct conflict to Stefan's point of view on him."
Dries also noted that the series will explore Enzo's dynamics with Caroline, prompting many to wonder if "Carenzo" would be the new couple to root for.
Actor Michael Malarkey, who essays the character of Enzo, also hinted the possibility of Caroline being a possible love interest.
"There was a makeout scene. I can't tell you with who, but that's going to make everybody go nuts. He's had a few slightly flirtatious scenes with a certain cast member," Malarkey teased, according to Wetpaint.
When asked if he would be getting cozy with Caroline, the character essayed by Candice Accola, Malarkey said: "Not necessarily the makeout scene, but yeah, there's a few great little scenes coming up with Caroline. She's a joy to work with, Candice, and I think the dynamic between Enzo and Caroline is great. As far as love goes, I think Enzo has a little ways to come before he can achieve such a goal."
The second episode is titled the "Yellow Ledbetter", and the promo implies that Damon and Bonnie are stuck in the past - 10 May 1994 to be exact - and they live the same day over and over again.
As for Elena, who expressed a desire to forget Damon, things won't go easily as she will be forced to remember the day she fell in love with Damon. However, this will come as a blow to Stefan, when he realises that Elena fell in love with his brother when she was still going out with him.
Season six, episode two will air on Thursday at 8 pm ET on The CW.
