Fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are about to witness something interesting yet shocking in the upcoming episode, as the latest teaser shows Stefan pop up the question to Elena. The promo didn't reveal whether Elena accepted the marriage proposal or not but the turns of events may hurt both Damon and Caroline.
Yes, Elena (Nina Dobrev) has forgotten her love Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and got close to Stefan (Paul Wesley) but fans of the show will be still curious to know if she said "YES" when Stefan goes down on his knees with a ring, as she had earlier said that she still loved Damon.
Interestingly, the promo of the 23 October episode shows Stefan asking Elena, "Ready to start over?" before she hops on his motorcycle.
The duo hit the bar together when things took an interesting turn.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you," says Stefan, and a surprised Elena is seen placing her hand over her chest. He went to say, "Elena Williams, will you..." when she interrupted by saying, "Wait" before he could finish his line.
Whether Elena will accept the marriage proposal or not, is a suspense, but it is evident that the turns of event will have an impact on Damon and Caroline.
Elena was in a relationship with Damon till her memory of him was erased. She seems to have moved on with Stefan, as they were seen kissing on episode 3, but she had said "Damon was my boyfriend, I loved him and he died."
On the other hand, Damon is currently stuck to Bonnie (Kat Graham), but he could get upset if he returns to reality and learns of Elena and Stefan's relationship.
Stefan's marriage proposal to Elena may also hurt his ex-girlfriend Caroline (Candice Accola), as she had admitted that she still had feelings for him.
Now, the promo of the upcoming episode is enough to raise fans' curiosity.
