A leopard entered a village in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, on Monday, injuring two people, according to a report.

The incident took place in Jamalpur Khurd village of Haridwar's Kankhal area. Teams of police and forest department officials rushed to the village where the leopard was sighted.

This is the second incident in Haridwar in the last one week. On Thursday, a leopard killed a two-year-old boy in the Motichoor area, according to Press Trust of India. The leopard attacked the toddler when his mother was feeding him.

In reaction to the attack, villagers blocked the Badrinath national highway and demanded that the wild cat be declared a "man-eater."
