Five passengers of a bus were killed after the vehicle was hit by a brick-loaded tractor trolly close to the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura distict on Wednesday, police said.

At least two dozen other passengers were injured, several of them seriously, and were taken to a hospital in Vrindavan.

Local officials reached the spot to oversee rescue operations.

The dead were identified as Rewati Prasad, Ram Babu, Prem Pal, Lahuari and Mahendra.
