New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): A religion course based on the "Theology of Harry Potter" is now being offered by a private liberal arts college in Kentucky in order to assist students to develop an understanding of theological concepts such as God, sin, and theodicy. According to the course description, students at Centre College in Danville will have to read J.K. Rowling's 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone,' 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' and 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'. Professor Lee Jefferson, who has taught a course before on comic-book heroes and religion told Centre College's news website that the Potter series is a phenomenon that has crossed generations and actually contains some intensely religious themes, and as a reader, he enjoyed them, and as a scholar, he could see their educational value.
