New Delhi, Feb 11 (ANI): President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday stated that there is an urgent need to restore people’s faith in governance system and the credibility of institutions in the wake of corruption in the recent times. President Mukherjee was at the inaugural ceremony of the two-day golden jubilee celebrations of CVC in New Delhi. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who was the guest of honour at the event said upright officers who make bonafide mistakes must be protected. Meanwhile, BJP leader Sushma Swaraj, indirectly hit out at the government for criticising the CVC and the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG).
