Force India, after an impressive run of late in the Formula One season, are preparing for the United States Grand Prix, which is scheduled on Sunday. Things are looking positive for Force India, who are presently fifth in the constructors' championship with 92 points.

Force India have a chance to gain more points this Sunday at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. Their drivers – Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg – have looked bright this season as they have collected 54 and 38 points respectively.

Perez, who came up with a strong race in Sochi, finished third during the Russian Grand Prix, which was a huge achievement. Though the Mexican might not be able to come up with a podium finish in the US grand prix, he will want to collect some points from this race as well and finish the season on a high with four races left for the F1 calendar year to come to an end.

Perez is confident ahead of the US grand prix and considers Austin to be a great place to race with the Circuit of the Americas providing drivers a chance to overtake as well.

"Austin is a great place to race. It has been my home race for several years, before the return of the Mexican Grand Prix, and the circuit is great fun for both fans and drivers," said Perez.

"The track has some special parts, especially the first sector and the uphill turn one. You can take a few different lines through the corner and you can brake really late for it, which makes it a good place to overtake. The whole of the first sector is very fun to drive with a lot of quick corners."

Perez's team mate, Hulkenberg has not been able to impress as much as compared to the Mexican as the German has had to retire from four races this season including the last race in Sochi.

However, Hulkenberg is confident with Austin being one of his favourite destinations to race. The German believes the track in Austin does not pose much problem as it is easy for one to find a particular rhythm.

"Of the newer tracks on the calendar I think Austin is probably my favourite. The variation of corners makes it good fun to drive and they've designed a very nice facility. The track is smooth and it's easy to find your rhythm. It's generally a busy weekend on and off the track: Austin is a fun city that really embraces the race and the atmosphere is great," said Hulkenberg.

On a personal front, both the drivers for Force India will be determined to move higher in the drivers' standings table and thus earn some important points for their team also.
