The model is expected to be available in two variants. The Renegade Commando is a stylish, low-slung cruiser powered by a 223cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, engine developing 18bhp at 8000rpm and 15.5Nm of torque at 5500rpm mated to five-speed transmission. The motorcycle comes with wide handle bars and hydraulic telescopic front suspension and spring rear suspension, which is ideal for a cruiser segment motorcycle.

The cruiser of UM measures 2,223mm of length, 883mm of width, 1050mm of height with the wheelbase of 1,518mm. The motorcycle measures 127kg. The estimated price for the motorcycle hovers around Rs 1.25 lakh. That will make this motorcycle a compelling case in the small capacity cruiser segment, which is the domain of Royal Enfield and Bajaj Avenger range.

UM Motorcyles, in a partnership with the UP-based Lohia Auto, has invested Rs 100 crore for business expansion. The latter's Kashipur facility in Uttarakhand is being utilised by the joint venture firm with an installed capacity to produce one lakh two-wheelers and 40,000 three-wheelers annually.
