Hollywood actor Russell Crowe shocked many last week after claiming that an Unidentifying Flying Object (UFO), which looks like an alien spaceship, was sighted outside his office in Australia.

The 48-year-old Academy Award winning actor posted a 23-second video footage on his twitter page which shows a bright and colourful long object flying across the sky in great speed.

"UFO? Time Lapse Photos Outside RC's Woolloomooloo Office (THESE ARE REAL!)" he captioned the video he posted on twitter. "A friend and i set camera to capture fruit bats rising from Botanic Gardens, this was a big surprise."

"UFO? It can't be a yacht, would have to be travelling 80kmph (50mph) to cover that distance in 4.5 seconds," added the actor.

The video went viral, getting over 1.8 million views since it was uploaded on Youtube on 5 March.

However, a representative of a UFO-debunking agency reportedly told TMZ that the object in Russell Crowe's video footage is not a UFO.
