Alipurduar, Jan 06 (ANI): Police in West Bengal produced two militants in court after speculations of their possible links to guerilla attacks, which left at least 80 dead last month in Assam, surfaced. The two suspects belonging to the tribal militant group National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) were nabbed late Sunday evening from a bus stop in Alipurduar district of West Bengal, which borders Assam. Police said the two suspects were produced in the court from where they were taken back to Assam on transit remand. According to Jaswal, the suspects identified as Ganga Basamatari (29) and Sajid Narjenari (21), both residents of Assam, were trying to escape through West Bengal after the Indian army declared Operation All Out' to reportedly flush out militants belonging to the NDFB.
