Shimla, April 13 (ANI): The two-day Shimla Film Festival - 2014, showcasing a mix of films by Himachali filmmakers and films from other parts of the country as well as a foreign short film, began in Shimla. Organiser of film festival, Ravinder Makhaik said that they received a good response for the film festival, which they have organised to encourage filmmaking in the region. A total of 34 documentaries, short and feature films are being screened in the two-day fest. Award winning film maker from Himachal Pradesh, Sanjeev Rattan said that such kind of film festivals provide a platform to people and give a boost to their talent as they get a good chance to learn and experience. Such film festivals help to bring forward and promote filmmakers and young talents coming from different parts of India.
