"True Detective" will be back on HBO on 21 June and speculations on its cast and plot are gaining momentum. The latest among it is on adult stars and 1999 erotic thriller film "Eyes Wide Shut".

The cable network has hired popular adult stars Amia Miley and Peta Jensen for the series and it has triggered many rumours about the plot line of the show. Several entertainment websites have stated that creator Nic Pizzolatto inspired by the masked ball orgy scene from Stanley Kubrick's movie and he is planning to include it in the crime drama.

Meanwhile, leaked plotlines of "True Detective" season 2 state that California state police officer Ray Velcoro (Colin Farrell) and Highway Patrol officer Paul Woodrugh (Taylor Kitsch) will investigate the murder case of corrupt city manager Ben Caspar, whose body was found with missing genitals, satanic symbols and a burnt-out eye near the picturesque city of Big Sur.

Local town sheriff Ani Bezzerides (Rachel McAdams) is expected to play a vital role in investigating the mysterious murder, which might lead them to the darker side of satanic sex, according to Movie Plot.

Although career criminal Vince Vaughn (Vince Vaughn) is said to be the prime suspect due to his business dealings with Casper and tie-ups with an S&M club, it remains to be seen whether the California political figure had some unknown enemies or not.

Other cast members to be part of "True Detective" season 2 include Lolita Davidovich as a showgirl stripper and Kitsch's mom, Adria Arjona as his girlfriend Emily, Abigail Spencer as Farrell's former partner, Afemo Omilami as Police Chief Holloway, Kelly Reilly as Vaughn's wife, Chris Kerson as his employ, Michael Irby as Bezzerides' partner Elvis, Ashley Hinshaw, Leven Rambin and Rick Springfield.

There is also a buzz that William Friedkin and Andrew Dominik will join the director's list with former "Fast & Furious" director Justin Lin in the upcoming season of HBO's crime series. However, there is no official confirmation on who will be stepping into directorial duties after Lin handles first to episodes of the show.
