Mouni Roy and Arjun Bijlani's "Naagin" continues to rule the Television Rating Points (TRP) in week 19 (May 7 to May 13) of 2016. According to the data released by Broadcast Audience Research Council India, the television audience measurement agency, the Colors' weekend show has garnered 4.6 points, which is much higher than its last week's rating of 3.9.

The rating of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" also increased from previous week's 2.9 to 3.1 in week 19. "Saath Nibhaana Saathiya," which secured the second spot the previous week, slipped to third position with 2.7 points. The show is expected to witness a major jump in its ratings, after the death of the show's male lead Ahem Modi (Mohammad Nazim) and the introduction of the new lead opposite Gopi Bahu (Devoleena Bhattacharjee).

"India's Got Talent 7," which premiered on April 30, scored 2.7 TRPs, thereby making it to the top in the non-fiction category. The reality show had secured the first spot in week 18 as well.

"Kasam" has seen a remarkable growth since its inception. The show starring Ssharad Malhotra, which initially scored low ratings, is gradually making it into the hearts of the viewers. It got 2.5 TRPs while "Swaragini" scored 2.2 TRPs and was at par with "Comedy Nights Bachao." "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" received 1.9 points.

Surprisingly, the "The Kapil Sharma Show" scored 1.8 points, which is lower than its previous week's 1.9. In fact, Kapil Sharma's show scored lower than Krushna Abhishek's "Comedy Nighs Live," which managed to get 2 points.

As for the channels, Colors TV was once again at the top among the urban areas. It was followed by Star Plus, Zee TV, Life OK, Sony SAB. In the rural areas,  Zee Anmol, Sony Pal, Star Utsav, Zee TV, Rishtey, Colors TV and Star Plus were the top scorers. TRP is a tool to measure viewers' preferred programmes and the popularity of a particular channel based on data collected from a particular geography and demography.
