A Tribe in Odisha's Mayurbhanj celebrates Udaa Parva or Udaan Festival by piercing iron hook to their skin. The festival is observed at the end of Chaitra and is meant to please Goddess Basuli. The tribe believes Goddess Basuli listens to their prayers after they practice these rituals.
