Aaron Ramsey could be on his way to Barcelona next summer, after the La Liga club reportedly agreed a deal with the Arsenal midfielder.

Ramsey has been linked with a move to Barcelona for a couple of years now, with the Spanish and European champions impressed with the progress the Wales international has made at Arsenal over the last few seasons.

While Ramsey has insisted he is quite happy at Arsenal, the 25-year-old has also admitted in the past he would be open to joining a new league and experiencing a different atmosphere.

Barcelona – with Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar -- might just be that new team Ramsey will link up with, with the La Liga giants making the Welsh midfielder one of the main targets for the summer transfer window at the end of the season.

According to the Daily Express, Ramsey will not reject a chance to move to Barcelona in the summer, with the former Cardiff City man also confident Arsenal will not stand in his way. Barcelona will have to fork out a fee of £50-60million to convince Arsenal to sell one of their main assets, the report further suggests.

While Arsenal have sold plenty of their players to Barcelona in the past, the English Premier League club are now in a position to keep hold of all their main players. With the stadium loan burden decreasing and a new multi-billion TV deal kicking in next season, it is hard to envisage Arsene Wenger being forced to sell Ramsey to Barcelona, even for £60m.

Ramsey has become one of the key men for Wenger, even if the midfielder might not always be the first choice in his preferred central midfield position.

Wenger is a big fan of Ramsey, and having showed so much patience during some difficult years for the midfielder, it is difficult to imagine the Arsenal manager letting him go just when he is hitting his prime.
