Toyota Kirloskar Motor launched the limited edition model of the Corolla Altis in India for Rs 14.68 lakh for petrol variant and Rs 16 lakh for diesel unit, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Usually, manufacturers during the festive season add some exterior add-ons such as decals or chrome bits and advertise the vehicle as limited edition model. However, Toyota India has taken a different path. The limited edition features no changes on the exterior except the badging at the rear and the C-pillars.

The interior is spruced up with smart link infotainment system which gets air and hand gesture controls. The system is also equipped with Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity. Additionally, the limited edition boasts of illuminated scuff plates on the door sills.

The car also comes with faux wood finishes at the door panel around the power window switches. The same treatment has also been applied to the gear knob. The new leather seats are embossed with the word 'Limited' on them reports Gaadiwaadi.com.

There are no mechanical changes to the car. The 1798cc in-line four cylinder dual VVT-i petrol engine generates 138bhp at 6400rpm and 173Nm of torque at 4000rpm. The petrol unit is available with six-speed manual and seven-speed CVT transmission. The 1364cc in-line four cylinder D-4D diesel mill develops 87bhp at 3800rpm and 205Nm of torque at 1800-2800rpm mated to six-speed manual transmission.
