Samsung joined the budget bandwagon with its Galaxy On7 smartphone. The handset boasts a 5.5-inch HD screen, 13MP primary camera with LED flash, 5MP front snapper and a 3,000mAh battery. The remaining features, including the processor, RAM and storage, are the same as the Galaxy On7.

Available in gold and black, the Galaxy On5 is available on Flipkart for Rs 8,990.

Micromax Canvas 5

Micromax upped the ante on its premium budget device range by launching Canvas 5. The handset offers some impressive specs to fend off rivals in its range. Powered by a 64-bit 1.5GHz MediaTek octa-core processor, the Canvas 5 features 3GB RAM, 16GB expandable memory, dual SIM slots, metal body and 4G LTE support.

The handset sports a 5.2-inch Full HD screen with 2.5D curved touch screen and 423ppi. It also has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual-LED flash, PDAF and a 5MP front snapper for selfies.

With these premium specs, the handset is retailing just for Rs 11,999.

Gionee S Plus

Gionee wants to make its presence felt in the budget smartphone space, so it launched the all-new S Plus. The handset features a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED screen, 13MP primary camera with LED flash and 5MP front snapper. Gionee S Plus is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage. Under the hood, there is a 3,150mAh battery with fast charging tech.

InFocus M535

InFocus has a pretty decent brand image in the budget smartphone market. The latest model, M535, strengthens its position with challenging specs and price. InFocus M535 sports a 5.5-inch HD screen, premium metal body, a 13MP main camera with dual-LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and an impressive 8MP front snapper. It is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and a 2,600mAh battery.
