Dharamsala, Feb 21 (ANI): Tibetans living in-exile in Dharamsala visited a Buddhist temple to seek divine blessing on the second day of the three-day New Year, Losar. Year 2015 is regarded as the Female Wood Sheep year as per the lunar calendar. Traditionally, celebrations begin with Tsedor or Losar prayers to the official protecting deity Palden Lhamo. The devotees gathered at the Buddhist temple, Tsuglagkhang and prayed in front of statues of Lord Buddha. 'Losar' is also marked with ancient ceremonies that symbolise the struggle between good and evil. Hymns are chanted and fire torches passed through the crowds as monks play traditional drums and blow horns. The celebrations will conclude on Saturday (February 21).
