Kapil Sharma, who is busy entertaining the viewers with his comedy show "The Kapil Sharma Show," has reportedly undergone a minor surgery recently. According to reports, Kapil got operated for a cyst on his neck and he is currently recovering from it.

If emerging reports are to be believed, then the surgery took place on the same day when Kapil and his crew members shot the episode with Govinda and his family. The shoot couldn't be postponed as the team had managed to get Govinda's date after a long wait.

"Kapil was suffering from the Cyst in his neck, for which he had to undergo a surgery. The surgery took place on the same day when the crew had to shoot with Govinda, but his doctor, Vijay Lulla suggested him to shoot. Also, Kapil had to shoot for the day because they got a date with Govinda after a long time," a source told India Forums.

The episode with Govinda, his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja was aired recently and Kapil and his team played many pranks. The senior actor also had a wonderful time singing, dancing and cracking jokes on the sets. A qawwali competition was also organised between Govinda and Sunil Grover's character of Dr. Masoor Gulati, which left the viewers in splits.

Meanwhile, "The Kapil Sharma Show" has topped in the non-fiction category of TRP charts in week 24. The episode featured the team of Marathi film "Sairat" and it also set a record of becoming the highest-rated non-fiction episode of the year 2016. It was the first time a Marathi movie was promoted on the comedy show.
