Akshay Kumar is all set to appear on the big screen with his upcoming movie "Rustom." While the film has a very serious plot, Akshay feels that the women audiences will like the movie more.

The movie "Rustom" is based on the real-life incident of Nanavati murder case. However, Akshay said that the film is highly emotional in nature and will connect with the female audience more and they will watch the movie more than once.

"One thing I can assure you about 'Rustom' is that women are going to love this film. I have seen the complete film and it is high on emotions, which will touch the female audiences. The men might not come to watch the film again, but the women will definitely watch it again," Catch News quoted Akshay as saying.

The actor further said that "Rustom" is not based on just one real-life incident, but a number of true incidents have been incorporated into the story. The trailer of "Rustom" was released some time back and it had received positive response from the audience.

The movie is slated to be released on Aug. 12 and will have a box office clash with Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Mohenjo Daro." Both the films are much awaited and two of the biggest movies of this year.

However, considering the films are releasing just ahead of holidays (Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan), it is being believed that both "Rustom" and "Mohenjo Daro" will have a good run at the box office.

Directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, "Rustom" also features Ileana D'Cruz and Esha Gupta in key roles.
