Aamir Khan will be seen playing the character of a father of four girls in Dangal and his real-life daughter Ira is very happy about it.
Aamir has till date played fatherly figures on screen, but he has always been father to boys in the movies. This is the first time that the actor will play the role of a father of girls and Ira is excited to watch him in the new avatar.
Aamir was earlier seen as father in movies like Raja Hindustani, Fanah and Talaash. A spokesperson confirmed the news and added in a statement, "It's for the first time that Aamir will be playing a father figure of 4 girls, the curiosity and the anxiety of the audiences to witness the same is increasing."
Two debutantes will play the character of Aamir's on screen daughters. Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sanya Malhotra will appear as his daughters and Sakshi Tanwar will be seen as Aamir's on screen wife.
Aamir's transformation has been phenomenal for Dangal. The actor took up some rigorous preparations and training to essay the role of wrestler Mahavir Phogat. The actor has left no stone unturned to attain the desired body for the role.
Presented by Disney and Aamir Khan Productions, Dangal, produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapur, is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is slated to be released on December 23 this year.
