"Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" actors Rohan Mehra and Kanchi Singh, who play the roles of Naksh and Gayu, respectively, celebrated the Independence Day at the Wagah Border, Amritsar, with several soldiers and patriots.
The actors, who are rumoured to be dating in real life, shared some pictures from their short trip on Instagram. In one of the pictures, Rohan was seen waving a tricolour with pride.
Earlier, several reports stated that the youngsters had been dating for quite some time now. "They (Rohan and Kanchi) are young and like-minded. What bowled Rohan over about Kanchi is that she is compatible and understanding. He feels comfortable around her. He missed her dearly when he was away in the US for an event with his reel mother Hina Khan and her beau Rocky Jaiswal," a source had told the Times of India.
The actor had then chosen not to open up about dating rumours. Instead, he had said that it was early to comment on his equation with Kanchi. Although Rohan and Kanchi refuse to make their relationship open, they often share pictures of their on Instagram, hinting that they are indeed a couple.
Rohan was earlier in a relationship with Yukti Kapoor, with whom he had shared screen space in "Uvaa," a film released in 2015. Apparently, the couple was not able to spend quality time with each other as Yukti was shooting in Hyderabad for "Siya Ke Ram," while Rohan in Mumbai. The distance was apparently the reason behind the split.
Besides Rohan and Kanchi, "Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi" lead pair Shaheer Sheikh aka Dev and Erica Fernandes aka Sonakshi are also rumoured to be dating. However, Shaheer denied the reports claiming that relationship and marriage are not on his mind as of now.
